RECOMMENDATIONS AND DECLARATION BY THE MANUFACTURER - - ELECTROMAGNETIC IMMUNITY
The Compex Runner is designed for use in the electromagnetic environment
stipulated below. The buyer or user of the Compex Runner must ensure it is
used in this recommended environment.
The Compex Runner is designed for use in the electromagnetic environment
stipulated below. The buyer or user of the Compex Runner must ensure it is

Immunity test Test level IEC 60601 Observance level
Electromagnetic
environment - recommendations
RF immunity
IEC 61000-4-6
3 Vrms
150 kHz to 80 MHz
Signal lines
Not applicable for power
supplies of devices which
are battery-powered
Portable and mobile RF communication devices must only be used relative to the
Compex Runner and its wiring at a distance which is not less than the spacing
recommended and calculated using the appropriate equation for the transmitter’s
frequency. Recommended spacing
d = 1.2 √P
Radiated RF
IEC 61000-4-3
3 V/m
80 MHz to 2.5 GHz
10 V/m
26 MHz to 1 GHz
3 A/m
10 V/m
d = 1.2 √P 80 MHz to 800 MHz
d = 2.3 √P 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz
Where P is the maximum output power of the transmitter in watts (W) set by the
manufacturers specications and where d is the recommended spacing in metres (m).
The eld intensity of RF xed transmitters, as determined by an electromagnetic survey
a
must be less than the observance level to be found in each frequency range
b
.
Interference may occur close to any appliance identied by the following symbol:
NOTE 1: From 80 MHz to 800 MHz, the spacing for high frequency amplitude is applied.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not be appropriate for some situations.
Electromagnetic wave propagation is modied by absorption and reection due to
buildings, objects and persons.
a The eld intensity from xed transmitters, such as radio telephone base stations
(cellular/wireless) and a mobile radio, amateur radios, AM and FM radio emissions and TV
emissions cannot be predicted with any accuracy. It may therefore be necessary to
consider an analysis of the electromagnetic environment of the site to calculate the
electromagnetic environment coming from RF xed transmitters. If the eld intensity
measured in the environment where the Compex Runner is located exceeds the
appropriate RF observance level above, the Compex Runner should be monitored to
ensure it is operating properly.
In the event of abnormal operation, new measures may then be imposed, such as
realignment or movement of the Compex Runner.
b Above the frequency amplitude from 150 kHz to 80 MHz, the eld intensity must be
< 3 V/m
NOTE: VT is the AC supply voltage before application of the test level. NOTE: VT is the AC supply voltage before application of the test level.
